Vail and Beaver Creek: When To Go

Peak Season: late-November to early-April During these prime ski months, Vail and Beaver Creek are the busiest and priciest of the year – but well worth it for the powdery slopes. Temperatures average a perfectly crisp 30 degrees.

Off Season: June to September Summer isn’t exactly the low season; hotels promote activity packages and outdoor enthusiasts pile in for fresh mountain air and pleasant, 75-degree weather. Oktoberfest in September and other summer festivals also attract a fair share of visitors.

Sweet Spot: October to mid-November; early-April to May Temperatures are chilly in the 60s but the lifts are closed and snow is sparse. Still, if it’s not skiing your after, you can beat the summer or winter rush and snag severely reduced hotel rates.
