Venice Getting There

Airport
Marco Polo airport (VCE) is located about 7 miles north of the city on the mainland. The best way to get to the city from the airport is by motoscafo (shuttle boat), which costs 10 Euros and takes one hour from the airport to Piazza San Marco.
Airlines
Delta and Alitalia fly non-stop from New York’s JFK airport. Most other flights from North America to Venice involve changing planes in Rome or Milan.
Flight Times
9 hours non-stop from the East Coast; add a few hours if you’re making a connection somewhere in Europe.
