Since 1875 this has been one of the best leather shops in town. The buttery gloves, bags, suitcases, belts, wallets, etc. are all reasonably priced, too.

Occasionally a high-end department store with room to try things on and recognizable designers provides a little comfort, if so, this Bloomingdale’s-ish one will probably do the trick.

If you can’t make it to Murano to stroll along Fondamenta dei Vetrai (where all the best glass stores are located) this shop near the Piazza San Marco sells pieces from several of the best Murano factories at good prices.

If you love this family-run company’s shoes, bags, and boots, stop in at the Venice branch, which has a selection that might just top their Rome location.

Embroidered linens, tablecloths, towels have been made by this family-run company for over 150 years. For better-priced linens, make a day trip to the original Burano location.
