Washington D.C. Getting There

The capital is served by three major airports - Ronald Reagan National (DCA) (the most convenient), Washington Dulles International (IAD), and Baltimore-Washington International (BWI). Dulles, 25 miles outside D.C., is less convenient. BWI serves many discount airlines, including Southwest.

Washington is served by multiple daily flights from virtually every prominent foreign and domestic airline. Delta and U.S. Airways offer shuttle routes from NYC and discount airlines like AirTran, Independence Air Southwest, Spirit, and Ted Airlines also fly here.

About an hour from New York; about six hours from Los Angeles; 3 hours from Dallas; and 7 hours from Washington state.
