In 1888 Carl Friedrich Bucherer started making watches in his basement and slowly built a reputation for himself as one of Switzerland’s finest watchmakers. Now in its third generation, the family-run business is still synonymous with exquisitely crafted watches and jewelry.

A Freitag messenger bag is the quintessential Zürich souvenir. Designed by two local brothers, the eco-friendly bags are made from recycled truck tarpaulins, car seat belts, air bags, and bicycle inner tubes. Each one is unique (you can even design your own on their website).
