
Francs and Euros The local currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF). While the euro is widely accepted, you’ll get a better rate using francs. ATMs are ubiquitous and major credit cards are accepted everywhere.

Looking for something? Finding place can be challenging in Zürich (it’s address system was devised in the Middle Ages). The lowest numbers are in the center, around Hauptbahnhof; even numbers are on one side of the road and odds on the other.
Bike ‘hire’ for free! Cycling around Zürich is a great way to explore, just watch out for the trams. Between May and October bikes can be hired for free from Züri rollt, located near the railway station (Robert-Maillart-Strasse 16; www.zuerirollt.ch).
