Kelly Wearstler of KWID Designs created the décor at this sophisticated and cheerful boutique resort that set the standard for Palm Springs revamps when it reopened in March 2003, helping to popularize the Hollywood Regency style it encapsulates so well. Guests can opt to stay in regular rooms, studios, suites, or private villas, all of which have balconies, Italian down bedding, and modern black and white furnishings with vibrant yellow accents. The "hedgerow-hidden" resort is situated amid three courtyards, and includes three swimming pools, two Jacuzzis, an exercise room, a spa, a fashionable restaurant (Citron), and various citrus trees and manicured gardens.
