From the tony shopping districts of Buckhead, the self-proclaimed new Rodeo Drive, to the funky galleries and independent designers of Virginia Highlands to the hippy-punk aesthetic of Little Five Points, Atlanta is home to some of the best shopping in the South.

Shopping in Atlanta

Opened by a pair of transplanted New York business partners/style gurus, this Midtown boutique has quickly carved a niche for itself thanks to its impressive selection, rare-in-Atlanta lines, and cool laid-back vibe. In its new Peachtree location, Drewlewis has added a little earthy sophistication to its setting with huge metal doors, colonial brass-framed portraits graffitied with "Drew Lewis," vintage brown leather seating, a wood-framed fireplace, and a granite-topped bar/counter serving complimentary alcoholic beverages. Men’s clothing includes Rag and Bone button downs and slim-cut suits from Band of Outsiders; the women’s section is like walking into a model’s closet chock full of blouses from Shipley and Halmos, Gryphon trenches, and denim from William Rast.

Makeup junkies will have a hard time extracting themselves from this chic Buckhead shop, which bills itself as a modern-day apothecary. In a tranquil, soothing atmosphere of chandeliers, mirrored tables, and marble countertops, Entebello stocks more than 90 lines of products and cosmetics from all over the world that beckon with their healing and beautifying powers. The spa services are a bargain for Buckhead: $18 manicure, $28 pedicure, and $90 for a facial.

Underground Atlanta

Before the city built viaducts above it to escape the snarl of railroad tracks, this was the heart of Atlanta; it’s now been reclaimed as a shopping, dining, and entertainment area, with unique retail outlets hawking clothing, gifts and souvenirs.
