Airport

Most flights to Maui connect via Oahu’s Honolulu Airport (HNL), but a few airlines offer direct flights to Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG) from the West Coast. Commuter flights service Kapalua/West Maui Airport (JHM) and Hana Airport (HNM) in East Maui.

Fly nonstop from Los Angeles (LAX) on Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, United, and US Airways; from San Francisco (SFO), try Continental, United, and US Airways; American Airlines flies nonstop from Dallas, Hawaiian offers from Portland, Seattle, San Diego, and Oakland; Alaska Airlines also flies nonstop from San Diego and Seattle.

Flight Times

5.5 hours from the West Coast; 11 hours from the East Coast. Inter-island flights to Maui from Honolulu take less than 30 minutes.
