Housed in the former living quarters for workers in the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, this quirky bit of history adds to the appeal of a stay at the John Jeffries House, not to mention that it’s one of the best hotel deals in town. Many of the B&B’s 46 rooms, which are furnished in traditionally historic Bostonian décor, feature a kitchenette area – perfect for making a meal or two for added savings. Even at half the level of comfort found here, the Beacon Hill location alone would rightly command a much higher rate.
