This is the sort of swanked-up ’60s hotel that young travelers love because it’s super cool and won’t break the bank. An open courtyard with fire pit, chalkboard doors on each guest room and minimalist-chic furnishings inside add to the fun. But be forewarned that its Lower Burnside location puts you more than a few steps away from downtown’s beating heart, and the live music and partygoers at its on-site bar and lounge Doug Fir can up the noise factor.
