Getting to Charleston


Located in North Charleston, Charleston International Airport (CHS) has 63 daily flights to 17 different cities, making it South Carolina’s busiest airport. A shuttle to downtown Charleston costs $12; metered taxis are also available, for around $25-30.


Major airlines operating out of CHS include American, Delta, Continental, and United. Despite the name, there are no international flights.

Flight Times

Charleston is located 1 hour and 15 minutes from Atlanta, 2 hours from New York, and 2.5 hours from Chicago. There are no direct flights to the West Coast (total travel time from Los Angeles is around 7 hours).
