Jay Peak

Jay Peak Resort
It’s all about timing. To avoid crowds and inflated prices, we recommend the period between high and low seasons when the weather is fine, places are still open and happy to welcome travelers, and you can explore a destination at your own pace. ShermansTravel experts call this magical time and space continuum the Sweet Spot.

When to go to Jay Peak

Peak Season: Mid-November to February

Known for its western-like powder and 24 glades, or tree-skiing areas, Jay Peak draws black diamond skiers who want to schuss the back country. When adventurers are tired of the snow, they can surf, climb, or just relax at the Pump House indoor waterpark.

Off Season: Mid-April to mid-November

A championship golf course is the only attraction in summer. The waterpark is closed by the end of May.

Sweet Spot: March to early April

Jay Peak’s heavy amount of snowfall annually practically ensures great skiing through the end of March, and sometimes through the beginning of April.
