This deal has expired, but be sure to check out our Top 25 deals of the week for savings on trips to destinations around the globe.

Intrigued by the cost-saving hallmarks of vacation home rentals but haven't yet taken the plunge? Let this sweet limited time deal on Airbnb sway you. For first-time users only, the site is offering a night free (up to $300) when you book a stay for two nights or more.

How it works: Airbnb will first calculate the average nightly rate for your entire stay. Then, they'll subtract that average – up to $300 – off your total stay. So if you book a two-night rental that's $350 per night for $700 total, you'll pay $400; if you book a two-night rental at $250 per night for $500 total, you'll pay $250. Potential cleaning fees and charges for additional guests can not be discounted as a part of this deal, so be sure to read the listings carefully.

The deal is good for travel through March 31 and must be claimed by this Friday, January 17. But don't procrastinate – you'll have to verify your ID prior to completing the reservation, a process that can take up to 12 hours. Use the promo code ONENIGHT.
