As the Caribbean heads into its shoulder (April-June) and low (July-November) seasons, the region’s resorts are offering up some romance packages that are a great value and full of fun extras. So if you’re planning a just-the-two-of-you escape over the next few months, here are four options worth considering:
Curacao Couples Getaway Package: If you’re looking to try a new island, I can recommend colorful, cultural Curacao, where this five-night package from the Lodge Kura Hulanda Spa and Casino (shown above at left) is a great value. Peak to Beach Package on St. Lucia: St. Lucia is one of those lush, mountainous islands where the view and the vibe change around every bend. To best appreciate both the lofty south and the beach-lined north, book the all-inclusive Peak to Beach Package that includes three nights at each of two wonderful luxury resorts. Spend three nights in a Gros Piton Suite with a private infinity pool at Ladera (shown at left) and three nights in an Oceanview Villa Suite with private pool at Cap Maison, plus you’ll get all meals at the resorts’ terrific restaurants (Dasheene at Ladera and Cap Maison’s Cliff at Cap), one-hour spa treatments at both resorts’ spas, and airport transfers, from $5,790 through December 19, 2012.
Amorous Anacona on Anguilla: Anguilla is known for its sugar-white sand and gentle surf and you can enjoy it all plus a generous dose of romance with the Amorous Anacona package from Anacona Boutique Hotel, an intimate 27-room property overlooking Meads Bay.
