From $149: Fun Fall Package at SoCal Hotel

by  Mollie Pendexter | Oct 7, 2016

A perfect autumn entails a getaway, family time, and of course, pumpkins. Luckily, the Fall Harvest package from Hotel Irvine combines all of those things. Here's the scoop.

Available through October 31, the package includes accommodations for a family of four, parking, $15 credit for the property's Marketplace, and daily breakfast. Plus, each guest will receive tickets to Tanaka Farms with a wagon ride and admission to the petting zoo and corn maze.

We test drove the offer and found that rooms with two double beds are priced from $149-$169 per night; without the package, expect rates of $159 and higher. Making this offer even more enticing is the value of the add-ons: parking is $22-$24; breakfast will run you about $10 per person; and all the experiences at the farm add up to $10. Throw in the $15 Marketplace credit and a family of four could get at least $117 in extras.

Stays at Hotel Irvine include WiFi and transportation to and from John Wayne Airport in Orange County. Other amenities include a pool, hiking trails, and a bike-borrowing program. When hunger strikes, head to Eats Kitchen and Bar for burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, and tacos. Marketplace is the place to go if you're in a hurry; there you can pick up salad, coffee, and gluten-free and organic fare.
