It's at this time that most people are re-settling into their normal routines and waiting until after the winter holidays for their next vacation. However, this is when you can score some of the best deals. Check out these nine for less than $210 per night.
Coming off of a major renovation, this adults-only all-inclusive resort is offering rates from $99 per person, per night for minimum three-night stays between October 1 and January 31, 2017 -- as long as you book by September 30. Reservations include three meals a day, snacks, afternoon tea, all beverages, and access to all water and land sports. Want to head to the island in February? Nightly rates jump to $207 per person, per night, making the case for an earlier visit.
This adorable, chic hotel has 97 rooms and a pool, and it's across the street from the beach. Its location -- north of bustling Ocean Drive, on Collins Avenue -- means you'll have a quieter stay. We found standard king and queen rooms priced from $119 for the nights of October 2-6, 16-20, 25-27, and 30-31; and November 1-3, 14-16, and 21-23. If you were to wait to visit over a weekend in January, you’d pay $212 per night -- nearly double the cost. How about an easy escape to Martha's Vineyard? Harbor View Hotel is within walking distance to area museums, galleries, and the Edgartown Lighthouse. On site, there's an outdoor heated pool, complimentary WiFi, restaurant, and two bars. Rooms are located in the main building and in the Governor Mayhew building; other accommodations are cottages and suites. Most nights in November are priced from $119 for rooms in the Mayhew wing; go earlier in October and you'll pay at least $80 more.
Get ready for Insta-worthy views when escaping to this hotel along the St. Lawrence River. Home to an indoor pool, restaurant, and bar, the property is close to annual area events like Punkin Chunkin (October 15) and the Holiday Shoppers Poker Run (November 18 and 19). For Sunday through Thursday stays between October 16 and the end of November, king and double queen village view rooms are priced from $139 per night. That's way more wallet friendly than summer rates of $379 and up.

In honor of its 14th anniversary, the hotel is offering superior rooms for rates from $140 per night for stays through October 31. Without the special, rates are from $189 throughout the month.
Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, this 222-room hotel in downtown Minneapolis has an American restaurant, free WiFi in the common areas, and a fitness center. If you can stay during the weekend, you’ll really rack up savings: for instance, in October a room with two queen beds is priced from $189-$209 per night for Sunday through Thursday stays, while prices for Friday and Saturday nights start at $169. In November, weekend rates are as low as $109.
When the cool weather kicks in, it’s a great time to head south to Panama City. At this Westin -- where there are six restaurants, three bars, a private beach, and oceanfront infinity pools -- we found deluxe green-view rooms for as little as $175 on the nights of October 24-26 and November 1-3. Slightly higher are the nights of October 17-19 at $187 and October 21 and 22 for $197, but those are bargains when you consider other nights during the month are priced from $284. The first weekend of November and Thanksgiving week are other good times to visit, with rates starting at $180 per night.
This South Beach outpost is celebrating its 1995 opening with special rates of $199.50 for city view king rooms through the end of October -- that's a considerable savings since we found non-discounted rates of $305 and higher for the same period. The Philippe Starck-designed standard has crisp white rooms, a rooftop spa, a sprawling pool, an Italian eatery, a sushi and sake bar, and two bars/lounges.
Is anything more picturesque than fall foliage in Vermont? Under the advance purchase rate, this new Kimpton outpost offers deluxe king rooms priced from $209 on November 6, 13-17, 20, and 27-30. This is where it pays to put off your trip, as nights in October are listed for $230 and higher. Here, exploring local terrain is easy thanks to the in-room, locally made walking sticks and hiking survival kits, as well as bike rentals.
