Missoni Joins a Growing Roster of Designer Spas

Italian fashion houses are no strangers to spas. Bulgari has spas in Milan and in Bali. Massimo Ferragamo commissioned a spa for his members-only Castiglion del Bosco estate in Tuscany. Now, Missoni launches its first-ever spa in Kuwait later this year, in what will be the second Missoni Hotel.

While a focus on fashion is as verboten as caffeine and carbs at some spas, Hotel Missoni adds a shameless dose of catwalk chic to everything from its bed linens to its pool. “Tiled in the signature Missoni stripe and with views over the Arabian Sea,” reads the news release, “this will be one of the most glamorous pools in the world.”

Adding to the spa glamour quotient is Six Senses, which does a five-star job with organic beauty products and spa treatments, and will run the spa. The menu will include massages, facials with Sodashi skin care, and sumptuous body treatments, including some that derive from Middle Eastern beauty rituals. All the better to experience the hammams. I look forward to seeing if they’ll be one of the world’s most glamorous, too.
