This deal has expired, but be sure to check out our Top 25 deals of the week for savings on trips to destinations around the globe.

Got a great shot of yourself hiking, biking, skiing, climbing? It could earn you a free trip to Geneva, Switzerland, as a VIP guest of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc race from Aug. 24-29.

The contest is called "Grip Your World," and it's sponsored by a company called Vibram. These are the folks behind the Vibram FiveFingers, those bizarre, paw-looking running "shoes" – though they're more accurately described as "footwear" – that have gained a cult following among some runners for their comfortable feel and ability to provide a more natural feel, and, some say, reduce injuries.

But you don’t have to own a pair of FiveFingers – or even have heard of them – to enter the contest. Just head to www.gripyourworld.com and post a photo of you "gripping your world," as a spokesperson for the company says – in other words, hiking, running, skiing, mountain climbing (again, no Vibram products necessary) – and a short caption about yourself and/or your activity.

You have until Friday, June 18 at midnight to enter, and you must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States or Canada. Bad news for residents of Florida, New York, Rhode Island, and Quebec, Canada: The contest is listed as void in those states. Good news for non-shutterbugs: Entries will be chosen at random, not based on the quality or content of the image. (However, don't be afraid to get creative: Current photos on the site show a fire-hopping, FiveFingers-wearing runner and another covered in mud in an especially mucky trail race.)

The grand prize winner will receive two round-trip airline tickets to Geneva and a three-night hotel stay, as well as train transport to Chamonix, France, where the race starts. Also included: VIP access for the UTMB, which some say is Europe's most difficult foot race. It covers 166 kilometers over three countries and 9,400 meters in elevation gain through the French and Swiss Alps. Top finishers cross the line at around 20 hours; most competitors log between 30 and 45 hours – and that's for sheer bragging rights, not any money prize.

The contest prize package also includes transport to several points along the race, so you can get a glimpse of the competitors in action. (Again, to clarify: You will not be participating, just watching; now in its seventh year, the race always fills up far ahead of time.)

In addition to the grand prize package, 20 others will receive a pair of Five Fingers (the exact model is TBD).

Get started planning your prize trip with our Switzerland Travel Guide, but if you don’t happen to be the lucky winner you can still create your own amazing vacation based on one of our Sports & Adventure Travel Deals.
