Harvest Inn is one of Napa Valley's most iconic stays — easily holding its own against the influx of new hotel offerings in the area. Indeed, this timeless destination continues to draw loyal customers with its pristine vineyard views (several rooms look right into the vines) and friendly ambiance. The eight-acre property sits under a canopy of redwood trees, and you'd never know you're five minutes from hundreds of wineries and the charming and eclectic town of St. Helena.

What You Need to Know

The Look of Harvest Inn

It's All in the Details

Brick masonry and Tudor architecture are the defining style elements at Harvest Inn. The original owner, Richard Geyer, who also owned a design and construction company in St. Helena, purchased the property in the early 1970s. Geyer and his apprentice personally designed the layout for each one of the 2,000,000 bricks found on-site. The masonry work here is impressive, from individually designed fireplaces in the guest rooms to winding brick-lined pathways.

Plus, the property — a forested oasis replete with 320 redwood trees planted in the 1970s — sits adjacent to a vineyard, which means many guests enjoy unobstructed vineyard views from their rooms.

The Vibe at Harvest Inn

Relaxed and friendly, the energy here is very wine-country casual. This is a place where couples and families can easily co-exist (one of the two pools they have is for adults only), and everyone can find their happy place. Idle the day away by the pool, take breakfast at their farm-to-table restaurant, Harvest Table, enjoy a book under the shade of the redwoods, or buzz in and out of the many nearby wineries.

Who Will Love Harvest Inn

Couples looking for a romantic hideaway that offers rooms with private hot tubs and decks overlooking the vineyards. Everyone will appreciate the convenient access to Napa’s biggest asset: the wineries.

Who Might Not Love Harvest Inn

Those who value an ultra-modern vibe with lots of glass and trendy designer furnishings might not appreciate the masonry-driven look of this hotel.
