Expert Review

An excellent alternative to Vienna’s traditional hotels, The Levante Parliament offers the same level of comfort but in a hip, contemporary setting. The 70-room boutique opened in 2006 in a building dating back to 1908 – a time characterized by Vienna School and Bauhaus modernist architecture. The interior design focuses on clean, fuss-free lines, emphasizing the marriage of sleek style and comfort. Rooms contrast dark woods and stark whites with bursts of red and orange and tout flat-screen TVs, bathroom speakers, and plush towels. Contemporary art enthusiasts will love the large collection of black and white photography by Viennese artist Curt Themessel, as well as the stunning glasswork exhibit by international artist Ioan Nemtoi. Well-known for its uniquely designed bar and restaurant, The Levante is also a stone’s throw from Museumsquartier and the Rathaus.
