It’s all about timing. To avoid crowds and inflated prices, we recommend the period between high and low seasons when the weather is fine, places are still open and happy to welcome travelers, and you can explore a destination at your own pace. ShermansTravel experts call this magical time and space continuum the Sweet Spot.

When to go to Belize

Peak Season: December to April

Resort occupancy and prices shoot up during the (relatively) dry season; the warm days, averaging around 77 degrees, are perfect for enjoying Belize’s natural wonders, although chilly northern winds are known to occasionally intrude from December to February.

Off Season: June to October

Daily downpours invariably give way to sunny skies as Belize shifts into low gear for its rainy season. Accommodations are available at bargain prices, however, hurricanes are possible at this time of year. Temperatures average around 82 degrees.

Sweet Spot: November; May

These transitional months are a great time to experience Belize; the tropical foliage is lush, weather warm in the upper 70s/lower 80s and many uncrowded resorts still offer attractive rates.
