It’s all about timing. To avoid crowds and inflated prices, we recommend the period between high and low seasons when the weather is fine, places are still open and happy to welcome travelers, and you can explore a destination at your own pace. ShermansTravel experts call this magical time and space continuum the Sweet Spot.

When to go to Fiji

Peak Season: June to October

The best time to visit is from June to October, which is “winter” in Fiji. Temperatures are still in the 80s, but there’s considerably less humidity. Rates will be at a premium, but you may be able to find deals on last-minute travel.

Off Season: November to April

November to April is low season, mainly because there is a threat of severe weather, including cyclones. As with other tropical regions with rainy seasons (such as the Caribbean and Southeast Asia), resort rates will be lower but you may encounter soggy conditions, especially in the evening.

Sweet Spot: May

This is a great time to visit as it’s the transitional month before peak season rates spike in June and July with the influx of families from Australia and honeymooners from the U.S.
