Getting to Rhone Valley


Though Delta is launching direct service to Lyon from New York (JFK) in July, 2008, there are no other direct flights to the region from the U.S. Lyon Saint Exupery (LYS) is the area’s main airport, reachable via 45-minute flight from the Paris airports. Geneva, Switzerland’s airport (GVA) has direct flights from the U.S. and is less than a 2-hour drive from Lyons’ city center.


Though several carriers fly to LYS, major international carriers include Air France, Aer Lingus (Dublin), SAS, TAP, British Airways, Austrian, Delta, Lufthansa, Alitalia, and KLM. Low-cost carriers include Easy Jet, bmi, Brussels Airline, Clickair, Atlas Blue, and BritAir.
