Getting to Bora Bora


All U.S. flights arrive first at Faa’a International Airport in Papeete, Tahiti (PPT). From there, travelers connect to Bora Bora’s only airport, Motu Mote (BOB).


Tahiti’s national carrier, Air Tahiti Nui, as well as Air France offer nonstop service from Los Angeles to Papeete. Hawaiian Airlines flies once a week from Honolulu to Papeete. Air Tahiti, the interisland carrier, flies from Papeete to Bora Bora and a dozen other islands.

Flight Times

Nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Papeete take 8.5 hours; from there, it’s an additional 45-minute flight to Bora Bora.
