It’s all about timing. To avoid crowds and inflated prices, we recommend the period between high and low seasons when the weather is fine, places are still open and happy to welcome travelers, and you can explore a destination at your own pace. ShermansTravel experts call this magical time and space continuum the Sweet Spot.

When to go to Bora Bora

Peak Season: May to October

Bora Bora is a tropical destination, with temperatures that rarely deviate from 77-82 degrees. The winter months (June to August) are the best time to visit, as humidity is low and days are sunny. The mara' amu trade winds blow and it can be cool enough for a sweater at night.

Off Season: December to March

These are the wettest (and the buggiest) months, so you might get rain and mosquito bites for two weeks straight, or lots of sun and fun – it’s a gamble. The upshot is lower airfares and hotel prices.

Sweet Spot: April; November

There are no shoulder seasons in Bora Bora, but these two months tend to have good weather and smaller crowds and hotel rates may be slightly better.
