Air Tahiti Nui, Tahiti’s national carrier, and Air France offer nonstop flights to Faa'a (PPT) from Los Angeles. Hawaiian Airlines has weekly flights from Honolulu. Interisland carrier Air Tahiti flies the quick hop over to Moorea.

Flight Times

Air Tahiti Nui flights typically depart Los Angeles in the afternoon and evening and arrive in Papeete at night. The flight time is 8.5 hours from Los Angeles. Air Tahiti makes multiple flights a day between Tahiti and Moorea, which take 10 minutes.

In addition to Air Tahiti flights between Tahiti and Moorea, a cheaper alternative is the fast Aremiti catamaran (www.aremiti.pf) that sails between both islands several times daily and takes 30 minutes.
