Expert Review

Quartering at the glamorous Soho House is a particularly smart splurge in the summer, when one can plunge into the open-air rooftop pool, but the private members’ club ties together a sense of history and prestige year-round. Originally built in 1928, the building has served numerous functions before its current guesthouse incarnation, including stints as a department store and the communist regime’s historical archives. Today, the 40 rooms vary significantly – sizes range from 258-square-foot attic rooms to 1,270-square-foot suites – but expect rich, textured fabrics; bright, patterned furniture; and a creative, vintage vibe throughout the property.
