Getting to Hamburg


Hamburg Airport (HAM) is about 20 minutes (five miles) by taxi from the city center, and can be reached by shuttles and public transport with a train-bus connection.


Some 60 airlines, mostly European carriers, fly into Hamburg Airport, including Lufthansa, Air Berlin, Air France and British Airways. The only non-stop flight to Hamburg from the U.S. is from Newark on Continental.

Flight Times

Flight time between Newark and Hamburg is seven hours and 25 minutes. If you connect in London, Paris or Frankfurt, count on at least an additional two hours to reach Hamburg. Factor in another 6 hours for flights from Los Angeles.
