It’s all about timing. To avoid crowds and inflated prices, we recommend the period between high and low seasons when the weather is fine, places are still open and happy to welcome travelers, and you can explore a destination at your own pace. ShermansTravel experts call this magical time and space continuum the Sweet Spot.

When to go to Mykonos

Peak Season: June to August

Summer, when temperatures average in the high 70s and the party atmosphere is in full swing, is undoubtedly the best time to visit despite the crowds. Hotels are filled to the max and ferries are jam-packed.

Off Season: October to April

Prices drop drastically during the winter months as do temperatures, which average in the mid-50s. Many resort towns, as well as the fabulous beach culture, go into hibernation leaving a lonely, deserted feeling.

Sweet Spot: May; September

You’ll miss the parties, but you’ll get the most for your money, beat the summer rush, and enjoy temperate climes in the high 60s to low 70s. Plus, the water will be warm enough for swimming.
