It’s all about timing. To avoid crowds and inflated prices, we recommend the period between high and low seasons when the weather is fine, places are still open and happy to welcome travelers, and you can explore a destination at your own pace. ShermansTravel experts call this magical time and space continuum the Sweet Spot.

When to go to India

Peak Season: November to March

The coolest (and driest) months coincide with our own winter season, making India a great temperate destination during these months. Book in advance though because everyone’s got the same idea.

Off Season: April to August

The muggy pre and post monsoon season makes India – an already hot and chaotic place – even more overwhelming for travelers. Though rates will be exceptionally low, traveling at this time can prove to be testing.

Sweet Spot: September to November

An ideal time to visit the subcontinent, this pre-holiday season means you beat out the NRIs (non-resident Indians) and pricy airline tickets and hotel room rates.
