Conveniently located near the Dead Sea, this nature reserve (lowest in the world) is an ideal hiking spot filled with canyons and streams. Mujib has served as a captive-breeding center since 1989 for the Nubian ibex, a mountain goat.

Our Lady of the Mountain church

The Our Lady of the Mountain church was built here to commemorate the time when Jesus, his disciples, and mother Mary traveled through this town and rested in a cave. This was one of the 2000 Jubilee pilgrimage sites.

Shawmari Reserve
