Getting to Laos

Laos main airports include Vientiane Wattay International Airport (VTE) in central region and Luang Prabang International Airport (LPQ) in the north. In the south, Pakse International Airport (PKZ) recently began welcoming flights from Bangkok (BKK).

The most common way to enter Laos is from Bangkok, Thailand. Thai Airways and Laos Airlines operate daily flights to Wattay Airport in Vientiane (VTE) from Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) in Bangkok. If you’re heading straight to Luang Prabang, the only option is a Bangkok Airways flight from Bangkok. The boutique airline also flies to Pakse in the south.
