National Geographic Expeditions

National Geographic Expeditions' "A Voyage to Iceland's Wild West Coast and East Greenland" itinerary offers several sailings throughout July and August 2024 and 2025. The 12-day adventure cruises roundtrip from Reykjavík and includes a stop in Flatley Island (Iceland), the crossing of the Denmark Strait, six days of exploring Northeast Greenland National Park (the world's largest national park), another trip across the Denmark Strait, and one day to explore Iceland's Westfjords region. Specific highlights include Zodiac and kayak rides into Scoresbysund (the world's largest fjord system), the opportunity to spot Arctic wildlife both on land and below the ice via underwater camera, and, last but not least, the chance to capture the northern lights with a little help from a National Geographic photography pro. Each sailing includes onboard experts, including naturalists and regional specialists, who are on hand to provide insight into the local wildlife, landscape, and local culture.
