Lake Titicaca

The world’s highest navigable lake — located along the borders of Peru and Bolivia — isn’t just stunningly beautiful, but it's also known as the birthplace of the Incas. As such, the lake and surrounding shoreline are littered with ruins. Be sure to also check out the lake’s famous floating Uros Islands, a group of about 70 isles crafted from totora reeds.
