With one million visitors a year, Ibiza has developed a culinary scene to suit a variety of budgets and tastes, with simple pizzerias and pubs just as easy to come by as five-fork, luxury dining. The island’s hippie past (and present) means vegetarian and organic eateries are popular. Everyone should try the rich, traditional, rice-and-seafood casserole known as paella. Word to the wise: many restaurants close shop during the off season.

Top Restaurants in Ibiza

C'an Berri Vell

This restaurant, housed in an 18th-century farmhouse, is worth the short drive inland to Sant Agusti d’es Vedrá for the shrimp in almond sauce and the fig-and-cheese ice cream.  Closed November to March.
