United States and Canada

United States and Canada — Canada is a country of contradictions – take the new shininess of Vancouver versus the old cobblestones of Montreal. A visit to Victoria is reminiscent of the English countryside (think rose gardens and tea) and a visitor to Quebec City might begin to think they are actually in France, while Toronto, a worthwhile destination in itself, often plays the role of stand-in for other cities in Hollywood movies. With all these contradictions, a country might get a complex, but Canadians are fiercely proud, very patriotic, and determined to distinguish themselves from their American neighbors to the south.

Why Go

For a little bit of Europe in North America and the diversity of the people, cities, and landscapes.
