It’s all about timing. To avoid crowds and inflated prices, we recommend the period between high and low seasons when the weather is fine, places are still open and happy to welcome travelers, and you can explore a destination at your own pace. ShermansTravel experts call this magical time and space continuum the Sweet Spot.

When to go to Bretton Woods

Peak Season: Mid-November to February

One of the top spots for Alpine skiing in New Hampshire, Bretton Woods is busiest during February break, but visitors will pay peak prices for most of the winter.

Off Season: April to May; mid-October to mid-November

Since the resort is gearing up for its winter or summer seasons, most attractions are closed.

Sweet Spot: March; June to mid-October

Most years, March brings both good skiing and good lodging and package deals. Those looking for summer adventure will find a zip line canopy tour, a climbing wall, downhill and cross country mountain biking, 18 holes of disc golf, and the historic Mount Washington Cog Railway.
