Ever wanted to see all – and we do mean all – of South America's coastline? Holland America's newest Grand Voyage for 2015 will let you do just that. The 68-day journey will make a complete loop around the continent from Fort Lauderdale, with a few additional ports of call in the Caribbean, Central America, and, weather permitting, Antarctica.
As the unbelievable map illustrates, the itinerary, launching on January 3 and returning of March 12 of next year, will leave very few stones unturned. It also affords something rarely included in shorter sailings: a series of overnight stops, including Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and Lima.
It costs a whopping $13,999 per person for the full journey, which actually comes out to just under $210 per night – not a terrible rate considering the thirty-some port stops. But like many other longer-term sailings, travelers can also book a few cheaper segments of the cruise separately. In this case, the first covers the 37-day trip from Fort Lauderdale to Buenos Aires (from $8,799) and the second covers the remaining 31 days back (from $7,299).
But here's the question: Would you do it?
