The season premiere of the CBS hit, Survivor: Nicaragua, has contributed to something other than viewership ratings. Filmed on the southwest Pacific Coast of this verdant Central-American country, the television show has spurred a tourism buzz, beckoning travelers to explore the rainforests, unmarred beaches, and incredible biodiversity that exists just 14 degrees north of the Equator, neighboring Costa Rica. Offering their own version of a Survivor Package, from $657 per person, Morgan’s Rock Hacienda and Eco-Lodge is located on the grounds of a Pacific Lowlands reforestation area and coexists with a nature reserve, estuary, and the endemic inhabitants of this region such as howler, spider, and capuchin monkeys, and sloths.
