Florida’s Boca Beach Club, a chichi Waldorf Astoria Resort situated on the Sunshine State’s Gold Coast, is ramping up its winning mix of sun, surf, sand, and sumptuous accommodations with a slate of innovative new guest offerings. While some of the recently debuted programs are fairly cookie-cutter (sunrise yoga, sunset kite flying, nightly stargazing), we couldn’t help but take note of eye-catching resort programs like “water walkers,” informal modeling shows, and – our personal favorite – sand sculpture instruction.
In partnership with the esteemed Sand-Isle artists (from the Travel Channel’s Sand Masters series), guests can sign up for daily classes to create sand castle masterpieces on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and be able to make their own sand-hardened decorative keepsakes, to boot. Plan a visit during select holiday breaks (Presidents’ Day, Easter, Memorial Day), and be treated to a special guest appearance by master sculptor Chris Guinto, as well. Or, stop by the pool on Saturday afternoons, where models will informally sport swimwear, resort wear, and couture collections from the resort’s shops and local boutiques, as they lounge near the pool. While poolside, also try your hand at “water walking,” courtesy of the resort's new air-filled water balls, designed for a one-of-a-kind walking-on-water experience.
Just note that in order to experience the new amenities firsthand, you’ll need to be a hotel guest. For more information and to book (special Uniquely Boca Winter Package rates are now available from $449/night), visit www.bocabeachclub.com.
