Oh, the places you’ll go on the 3,934-passenger Carnival Horizon when it launches this time next year … namely, Carnival Cruises' first Dr. Seuss-themed water park.
Dr. Seuss WaterWorks will have two whimsical waterslides — a 450-foot red-and-white striped slide inspired by "The Cat in the Hat," and a shorter, blue polka-dot slide with lighting effects that was inspired by Thing 1 and Thing 2. There will also be a 150-gallon tipping bucket, and a splash zone with water toys.
Like Carnival’s other ships with “Seuss at Sea” programming, there will also be a Dr. Seuss library, the Green Eggs and Ham breakfast, and Seuss-a-palooza parade and story time.
Carnival Horizon will also have the line’s newest family-friendly features that launched on Carnival Vista, including an IMAX theatre, SkyRide (a suspended bike ride), and Family Harbor staterooms.
The ship will spend its first season in the Mediterranean and Bermuda before starting year-round Caribbean cruises from Miami in the fall of 2018.
