Carnival to Debut "Lip Sync Battle" at Sea

by  Kristen O'Neal | Aug 31, 2016

The hit show "Lip Sync Battle" hits the high seas when Carnival Cruise Line debuts "Lip Sync Battle Carnival" this December. On Spike TV’s pop culture sensation, celebrities face off with elaborate choreography to lip sync iconic tunes. But on Carnival ships passengers will hit the stage, picking their favorite song and lip syncing to an audience of fellow cruisers.

So how will it work? At the beginning of each cruise, cruisers will face off in the initial rounds on the Lido Deck. Two winners will be chosen to compete against each other in the championship battle in front of the Lip Sync Battle marquee. The finalists get to choose their songs from any genre, select props and accessories, and learn choreography with their back-up dancers to take their performances to the next level.

Carnival Vista will host the first "Lip Sync Battle" in December 2016, and the line plans to roll the program out across the fleet wide in 2017.
