There's something special about the Ozark Mountains, and part of the appeal is a castle-like hotel overlooking Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri. The aptly named Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center is carved into the bluffs with pinch-me views from every vantage. This palatial, French-inspired property offers Southwest Missouri's largest conference center, a myriad of dining options, a full-service marina, swimming pools, an expansive spa, tennis courts, a fitness center, a kids' club, and a movie theater. Here's our full review.

What You Need to Know

The Look of Chateau on the Lake

It's All in the Details

Guests walk into the 10-story atrium — which towers above the streams and rock formations below — that marries modern amenities and classic architecture while also paying homage to the Ozarks' natural beauty.

Within a stone's throw of the check-in desk is the high-end Chateau Grille (we recommend the salmon or filet mignon), a more casual Atrium Café & Wine Bar, The Sweet Shoppe,  and the Library Lounge. Just below lies the Downstairs Deli, Crawdaddies Kids Club, and Sassafrass Movie Theater. In a nutshell, there are tons of things to see and do outside of the resort – though you'll find everything you need right on-site.

Meanwhile, the guest rooms and suites, most of which are outfitted with private balconies, offer an upscale yet traditional design approach. (Pro tip: Request a room with a view in advance.)
