Colorado June Savings: Four Seasons Vail from $237 & More

by  Christine Dayao | Jun 18, 2015

From skiing and snowboarding to hiking and whitewater rafting -- plus everything in between -- Colorado has it all for adventure lovers. If you're looking for a last-minute getaway this month, June is shaping up to be a fantastically affordable time for getting a taste of the Centennial State’s warm-weather outdoor activities. And three luxe hotels in particular are proving that it's better to visit sooner rather than later this summer:

The Broadmoor (Colorado Springs)
Surrounded by picturesque mountains, streams, and canyons, this almost century-old, AAA Five-Diamond resort has 779 guestrooms, suites, cottages, brownstones, and ranch accommodations. Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of wide open spaces with some fly fishing, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, or rock climbing. The resort is offering significantly reduced rates of $270 for classic rooms in the main and west wings on the nights of June 21, 22, and 28-30. In July and August, the prices shoot up to between $320 and $490 for the most part (though we did find $300 rates for July 1, August 12, and August 23-27).

Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain (Avon)
This Beaver Creek property boasts 230 rooms, studio suites, and multi-bedroom condos -- which have kitchens and gas fireplaces. Through July 2, the resort is offering a Whiskey, Whitewater and Woods package that includes two rounds of golf at Red Sky Ranch, a bottle of whiskey and two flasks, $100 dining credit, and $200 credit for rafting and other Lakota Guides activities. For the lowest starting rates of $358, stay June 21-27 or June 28 to July 2. A three-night minimum is required, but you'll essentially recoup two of those nights with all the extra -- worth about $600, when you factor in the $250 golfing costs and $50 whiskey kit value.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail
At this mountain-base Four Seasons, feast your eyes on views of Vail Village or the hotel's own gorgeous garden. The 121 guestrooms, suites, and residences tout balconies, fireplaces, and limestone and hickory touches. For stays in June, the advance purchase rate shaves 40 percent off rates at the posh property -- so long as you book at least seven days in advance. We found the best rates of $237 for a garden view on the nights of June 22, 23, and 28-30, down from $445. The nights of June 24-27 are $30 more. Note: A two-night minimum stay is required when making an advanced purchase.
