Oprah Winfrey has never been to Alaska, but she plans to change that this year — on a cruise with Holland America Line.
As part of a new partnership between Holland America and O, The Oprah Magazine, Winfrey is bringing her commitment to personal growth and connection through travel to the high seas on five special sailings.
Winfrey herself, O magazine editor-at-large Gayle King, and the magazine’s other editors will all be onboard the inaugural sailing when Eurodam sails from Seattle to Alaska on July 15. The other four sailings -- cruising to Alaska and the Southern, Western, and Eastern Caribbean -- will feature inspirational talks from members of Winfrey’s “SuperSoul100,” her list of leaders who are working for the greater good.
And you have a chance to win a free spot on the cruise. O magazine is kicking off a contest this March that will award three people the chance to set sail with Oprah and Gayle on the inaugural cruise. To enter, you just have to tell Oprah how connecting with others has made a difference in your world -- and how travel can help.
Even though she’ll only attend the first of the five sailings, Oprah will also inspire healthy-living programming on more than 300 Holland America cruises from August through 2018, including meditation, tai-chi, healthy cooking demonstrations, and an onboard version of her beloved book club.
