Cunard, the only cruise line that allows dogs and cats onboard, has a long history of welcoming dogs on board dating back 176 years, with notable four-legged passengers including the pups of Elizabeth Taylor and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

Yesterday, the venerable line announced that they will sponsor this year’s Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which takes place in New York City from February 11 to 14.

This is the line’s first time at Westminster, and they’ve made a sweet deal with the winner of Best in Show — the dog (and his or her owners) will be invited to travel as special guests on a transatlantic crossing between Southampton, England, and New York City on the line’s flagship ocean liner, Queen Mary 2.

The traditional, very British ship is home to a recently renovated kennel – they can now accommodate 24 pooches. The space, which also has an outdoor area, is furnished with a lamppost from Liverpool and a fire hydrant from New York to make dogs from either side of the pond feel at home.

If you’re headed to the show next weekend, you can stop by Cunard’s booth to snap a picture with a Corgi named Wally (he's huge on Instagram), and pick up a few treats and canine clothes for your own four-legged friend.
