Littlefield Lofts in hip Austin, Texas, reopened in July after a major facelift. That it’s on 6th Street means you can ditch the car and easily walk to funky bars and restaurants, plus the Museum of the Weird. The best part is that these are not just standard hotel rooms. Instead, you’ll bunk in a 900-square-foot one-bedroom loft -- for grand-opening rates starting at $119 per night.
This deal is good for stays through September 30, bookable on the website using promo code SNEAKPEAK. We found availability for the lowest $119 rate during the weeks of August 24 and 31, plus other weekdays throughout September, while weekend nights in August and September are $249. Note that there is a $60-$75 cleaning fee tacked onto each reservation. Even so, the rate is a steal -- rates can climb as high as $400 per night after September, or require a four-night minimum.
Each of the 24 lofts is stocked with amenities flaunting Austin roots, like Benjamin Soap Co. toiletries, Cuvee Coffee beans, and Kerby Lane pancake mix. Floor-to-ceiling windows, not to mention a full kitchen, make the place feel more like home than a hotel. (In fact, Littlefield Lofts belongs to a local apartment-rental company.) Traveling in a group? There are also two-bedroom units, at a higher rate.
Also onsite is a 30,000-square-foot Gold’s Gym on the ground floor, featuring a sleek glass-and-metal. Final tip: It’s not recommended to bring a car, considering pedestrian-friendliness of the neighborhood and the fact that a $1.75 airport shuttle travels to and from the convention center a few blocks away.
