This deal has expired, but be sure to check out our Top 25 deals of the week for savings on trips to destinations around the globe.

The Deal: This coming year will see low-cost carrier JetBlue traveling to many new and exotic locations. What makes this news even sweeter is the rock-bottom price tag and nonstop service that accompanies these new routes. Destinations include Bogota, Colombia (service starts January 29) and San José, Costa Rica (service starts March 26). This announcement marks JetBlue’s first venture into Central America, and expands its presence in South America.

Most competitors do not match JetBlue’s prices on these exciting routes, nor do they offer direct flight service from Orlando International Airport. Some of the other routes that you can “jet” to in 2009, include flights from Orlando and Fort Lauderdale to Nassau starting February 1, Boston to St. Maarten starting February 14, and to put some pressure on Virgin America, who will be launching new services from Boston, JetBlue will begin a Boston to San Francisco route on May 1.

The Dollars: A sample search of JetBlue's new routes turned up the following round-trip fares (taxes and fees included):

•    Orlando-Bogota: $298
•    Orlando-San Jose: $298
•    Orlando-Nassau: $192
•    Ft Lauderdale-Nassau: $192
•    Boston-Saint Maarten:  $488
•    And more!

The Catch: Although JetBlue advertises fares from just $99 each way, expect to pay an extra $100 in taxes for a round-trip ticket to Bogota or San Jose.
