This 20-story luxury hotel, which opened in late 2017, attracts a well-heeled crowd with its chic aesthetic. Complete with a rooftop pool and bar, a spa featuring seasonally inspired treatments like the Texas Wildflower Facial, and a lively drinking and dining scene, it's almost impossible to be bored here. Here's our review of this sleek (and centrally located) property.

What You Need to Know

The Look

As soon as you step foot into the lobby, you're immediately greeted by a dramatic marble staircase. Meanwhile, rooms and suites are outfitted with lots of slick touches and design-forward elements, courtesy of Houston-based designer and interior architect Lauren Rottet (think brass fixtures, Art Deco mirrors, and an emerald green velvet sofa). The walk-in showers are a treat, too.

The Vibe

We saw travelers of all types at the hotel, but stylish couples and young friend groups tend to dominate the space (especially the rooftop pool and bar). Lucienne, the on-site restaurant, serves a menu that marries Mediterranean with a more mainstream European bend — all in a gorgeous setting. Executive Chef Jose Hernandez brings French techniques that might include cauliflower crepes or house-made gravlax; the burger is just as fantastic, too. You’ll often spot locals and guests alike sipping craft cocktails at Bar Bardot late into the night.

Who Will Love It

Anyone who appreciates high-end design and a convenient downtown location will love this property.

Who Might Not

There’s not a whole lot dedicated to children, and the pool is mostly filled with adults--drinking adult beverages.

Best Amenity

The rooftop pool is the ideal place to cool off on a steamy Texas afternoon. A fun second is the Grey Goose Martini Cart, which can be delivered to your room via tablet order, so that you can make your own custom martini.

Money Matters

What's Included

Wifi and in-room Nespresso are included. In addition, a complimentary Maserati car service, which transports guests wherever they need within the downtown area, as is on-site bike sharing through BCycle
